Alfred Marroquín is a Puerto Rican American filmmaker, celebrated for a soulful, romantic style, reminiscent of classic Spanish cinema. He began his career making music videos for Chloe x Halle, J Balvin, and Rauw Alejandro and music documentaries for A$AP Ferg and Orville Peck. His music video for Chloe x Halle’s “Ungodly Hour” was selected as one of Pitchfork’s top videos in February 2021, and was included in Complex’s list of 20 Best Music Videos of 2021.
He’s also directed short films for VOGUE UK, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Lorde and Rosalía, along with commercials for Billboard, Honda, Pepsi, and IKEA. His work has earned him a Silver Clio Award and has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine, and FADER.
Alfred is based in New York.
