Caleb Femi

Caleb Femi’s creative practice spans the realms of film, photography, fashion, art and poetry. To date, the polymath’s limitless vision has led him to direct short films, commercials, brand campaigns, TV episodes, fashion shows and music videos, and author an award-winning poetry collection.

A frequent collaborator of Virgil Abloh, Femi directed multiple Louis Vuitton campaign films and, notably: ‘SHOW 8’ (Louis Vuitton, SS/ 22) — Abloh’s final runway show. He’s also directed commercials and envisioned campaigns for the likes of Bottega Veneta, Mulberry, Johnnie Walker, TikTok and NCS.

Meanwhile, Londoner Femi’s latest narrative short, Giraffe was selected for Sundance Film Festival (2()23), and he’s proven adept at directing hit TV episodes for series such as Industry (HBO/BBC) and Champion (NETFLIX/BBC). His love of music — evident across his artistic output — has most recently seen him direct: ‘Lahai’, a short film to accompany Sampha’s eponymous new album. Behind the scenes, Femi worked closely with Sampha across key creative elements of his hotly anticipated return.

As well as being selected for the Dazed 100 list of talents shaping youth culture, Femi’s photography has been featured in that title and presented in Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh coffee table book. Femi’s stills also illustrate POOR (Penguin Random House, 2020), his debut book, which won the Forward Prize for best first poetry collection.
