London based director Rohan Blair-Mangat graduated from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Fine Art. His varied projects have led him to work with talents such as Snoop Lion, Lionel Messi, Bryson Tiller and Rita Ora, directing for clients including Adidas, Vice, Land Rover, Dazed & Confused and Nike.
Rohan’s cinematic spot ‘Run For Your Life’ earned him both a Best New Director nomination at the prestigious BTAA Craft Awards and a place on the shortlist for the CFP-E/Shots Young Director Award in 2012.
The interactive experience he directed for Geox was released to critical acclaim, winning four Cannes Lions, including a Gold for Interactive, a One Show Gold Pencil and FWA Site of the Day.
In early 2015 he directed a short film for Wretch 32, supported by Adidas and Tate Britain, which was screened at the gallery as part of the Late at Tate series.
Rohan is currently working on his debut feature film, ‘The Boombox Project’. Co-written by Blair-Mangat and Lyle Owerko, it draws inspiration from Owerko’s book The Boombox Project: The Machines, the Music, and the Urban Underground.
